CDP Clos du Caillou Réserve, Le Clos du Caillou 2006

Tasting Notes

Blueberry, blackberry, charcoal, licorice, and a touch of smoked meats are present in theis wine. It possesses the densest, most saturated color of the 2006s as well as abundant fruit, a full-bodied, powerful mouhtfeel, a concentrated, multilayered texture, and a 40-45 second finish. A top notch effort for the vintage, this beauty should age easily for 15+ years.

Bright crimson. Very heady - the first wine that really sings of the garrigue. Spicy too - most mulled wine in its flavours! Definite cinnamon there… Lots of effort here. Lovely tannins - so ripe yet present, Very rich and flattering. Drink 2015-2025.Date tasted 8th May 08.
