2002 La Gomerie 89Tasted blind at Farr's 2002 Bordeaux tasting. It has a very modern nose, well-integrated new oak, raspberry coulis, blueberry, candied fruits and a small bouquet of violets. I find this very pretty. The palate is ripe, forwards, rounded, eager to please, very attractive texture with notes of blueberry, raspberry and strawberry with a Burgundian texture, silky and smooth on the finish. Very well made, but there is distinctively more winemaking on show than bona fide terroir. Tasted October 2009.
