Tasting Notes

An exceptional effort, the 2002 Volnay Santenots du Milieu explodes from the glass with awesome scents of flowers and dark cherries. Superbly balanced, its concentrated, medium to full-bodied core of fruit displays sappy, expansive waves of dense black cherries. Exquisitely ripe, yet fresh, it reveals a prolonged finish studded with additional layers of dark fruits. Projected maturity: 2007-2019. Wow!
