Tasting Notes

Dark ruby/purple-tinged with notes of violets, black currants, cherries, and hints of truffles as well as incense, this stylish, medium-bodied 2004 possesses lovely fruit, good acidity, and sweet tannin. Drink it over the next 8-10 years.

This is rich and silky with a lovely berry and chocolate character. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a medium finish.

Proprietor Alain Vauthier’s 2004 Moulin St.-Georges possesses an inky/purple color as well as a beautiful nose of black raspberries, licorice, crushed rocks, and flowers. The oak is superbly integrated and the wine medium-bodied, elegant, and moderately tannic. Give it 1-3 years of bottle-age and drink it over the following 12-15 years.
