tobacco and coffee aromas, with hints of fruit, full to medium bodied, with fine tannins and a fruity finish. A bit short for cos , but delicate and refined. Best after 2004. 23330 cases made.

Score: 85/87James Suckling, Wine Spectator

The rigorous selection process here is enhanced by the use of the latest wine-making technology (reverse osmosis, vacuum evaporation and no chaptalisation). This has an exotic, spicy nose and a good rich body. There are spicy tannins, oriental spices and ripe fruit. Jean-Guillaume Prats describes this wine as having more grip than the '97, more charm than the '98 and is similar, but with less weight, to the 1995. Another lovely sexy Cos.
