Here too there is a whiff of oak on the spicier and ever-so-slightly fresher nose of black pinot fruit, violet and lavender aromas. Once again there is a lovely mineral component on the delicious, detailed and vibrant medium weight flavors that are tightly focused and quite saline on the moderately austere and well-balanced finale. Note that this lovely effort should reward up to a decade of cellar time and hold for two. (Drink starting 2022)
