Gevrey Chambertin Petite Chapelle, Domaine Dugat-Py 2019

Tasting Notes

An elegant, ripe and cool nose offers up notes of herbal tea, black cherry, plum, spice, violet and a hint of lavender. There is a highly refined mouthfeel to the energetic and intense medium weight flavors that possess a silky mid-palate while displaying outstanding depth and length on the moderately firm and well-balanced finale. This youthfully austere effort is built-to-reward mid-term cellaring but it's not so tightly wound that it couldn't be approached after 5 years or so.
