Tasted single blind at Southwold. A light red-berried nose - wild hedgerow, blackberries, touch of undergrowth. Nice definition, exuberant. Elegant, natural, a touch of earth and spice. Peppery finish. Very natural and harmonious with lots of character. Impressive. Drink 2010-2018+
This is wonderfully balanced, with red fruits and hints of toasted oak. Full and long, with fine tannins and a bright finish. Gorgeous.
NB exceptional appellation. Meaty and lively and quite dry - but very refreshing and distinctive. Appetising!
Saturated medium ruby. Superripe aromas of blackberry, violet and licorice. Deep, powerful and penetrating, with a real warmth to the black fruit and spice flavors and superb breadth for this bottling. Finishes long and ripe, with lovely restrained sweetness. A big boy, with 14.3% alcohol. In fact, this is downright powerful.

Extraordinary deep purplish colour. Very sweet and burgundian and almost unspittable but with a finesse and sap that stops it being sickly. Great richness. Very fine tannins, Lovely freshness. Fine and lively. Quite different from the usual bordeaux 2005. Great reverbation. Vivacious: a real courtesan without being forced. Drink 2012-22
