Chapelle Chambertin, Cecile Tremblay 2023

Tasting Notes

Tremblay's 2023 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru is one of the wines of the vintage, wafting from the glass with notes of dark berries, exotic spices, confit orange and incense. Full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it's serious and elegantly muscular, its fleshy, layered core of fruit framed by a chassis of sweet, ultra-refined tannins and animated by lively acids, concluding with a long, saline finish.

Mid crimson colour. A fine lacy version of Chapelle-Chambertin. Cool, fresh, fine on the palate, not the most concentrated, a light coffee note in with the red fruit. Certainly, this Chapelle has classical elegance, and some tension, and it may well discover greater volume later on, as it is very persistent. Drink from 2033-2040.
