Three Tours Challenge
Former professional footballer and cancer survivor Geoff Thomas and his three team-mates on the Three Tours Challenge have just become the first amateur cycling team to complete, consecutively, the tours of Italy, France and Spain. Their aim is to raise £1million to help the charity Cure Leukaemia fully fund the expansion of the Centre for Clinical Haematology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

Farr Vintners director Oliver East rode four stages of the Tour de France with them and we are proud to announce that we have donated £250,000 to this fantastic cause.

During the challenge, the team cycled 10,504km in 63 days of cycling, climbing over 66,000 metres. Only 39 professional riders have ever completed all three tours before in the same year – no amateurs ever! Geoff Thomas was joined by Hayden Groves, James Maltin and Doug McKinnon
