“A No-Brainer Purchase” 2015 Prestige Rouge from Puech-Haut
Given the sheer number of cases of Puech-Haut that we have sold over the past couple of years, it would be a fair assumption that most of you are now familiar with this brilliant producer. It is without doubt one of our best discoveries and the wines continue to offer spectacular value-for-money year in, year out.
Today, we are offering their flagship Prestige Rouge from the 2015 vintage, a complex Rhône-style Grenache/Syrah blend made from old vines and yet priced at only a fraction of its Rhône counterparts.
The 2009 vintage of this cuvée became one of our best-selling wines ever, and subsequent vintages have also been very well received. This 2015 is a rich, juicy wine that has a lot going on yet doesn’t, at any point, lose its balance, focus or freshness. Jeb Dunnuck awarded it 93 points before leaving the Wine Advocate to set up on his own and he commented that it has “…lots of richness and texture, yet stays balanced, lively and pure. It's a year in and year out value that's a no-brainer purchase.”
At just £110 per case in bond (and discounts for volume orders), we think that this wine is an absolute bargain, as always!

“The 2015 Saint Drezery Prestige is a ripe, sexy beauty that gives up full-bodied notes of black cherries, melted licorice and roasted herbs. Like all the wines from this estate, it has lots of richness and texture, yet stays balanced, lively and pure. It's a year in and year out value that's a no-brainer purchase. It will drink beautifully over the coming 4-5 years (possibly even longer).”
