An intensely floral nose that is both attractively fresh and ripe offers up notes of primarily dark currant and earth. There is good verve to the somber but rich and solidly well-concentrated medium-bodied flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality on the moderately austere and persistent finish. The comparatively firm tannic spine is well-buffered by the abundant dry extract that imparts a velvety palate impression to the finale.
When to drink: 2019 to 2027
Two-thirds whole bunch. Bright crimson. Very direct, crystalline and with some mineral character. Fine tannins and quite silky texture. Bright red fruit and very confident. Very fresh and vibrant. Jancis Robinson
