The second vintage of the agreement by which Pierre’s team manage the vines and he buys the grapes. He cuts out the main stems and keeps the pedicels. Just 150 litres produced. Rich powerful purple. This has a level of sumptuousness over and above the Bèze, with some redcurrant notes in with the fresh raspberry. Hugely voluminous and fairly precise, with the floral aspects and more strawberry behind. A long and glorious finish!
Duroché's second rendition of this site, the 2020 Chambertin Grand Cru, is a worthy follow-up to its 2019 debut. Mingling aromas of sweet berries with notes of peonies, orange rind, warm spices and rose petals, it's full-bodied, layered and seamless, with an elegant, lively profile and a long, perfumed finish.
