Lightly hued. The elegant and ultra-pure nose speaks of discreet yeast, cherry, raspberry and strawberry hints that are trimmed in an almost invisible touch of rose petal. The refinement displayed by the nose is reinforced by the palate impression of the delicious flavors that are underpinned by a firm but not aggressive mousse where the bead is quite fine, all wrapped in a moderately complex but solidly persistent finish. As it usually is this is quite an understated rosé that is drier than most without crossing the line into austerity. If one wanted to find fault it's that this lacks just a touch of overall depth but the style is drop dead gorgeous.
Beautifully crafted with a fresh, floral edge, as well as blood-orange, strawberry and peach aromas. Some subtle, bready complexity. The palate has a zippy, acid thread with a tangy, fresh berry finish. Drink now.
Pale salmon. Much more refreshing on the nose than most. Real wine on the palate. Fizz with personality. Drink 2009-11 *Also named as one of her 5 Favourite Pink Champagnes.
Bollinger's NV Brut Rosé is a beautiful pink Champagne composed of 62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay and 14% Pinot Meunier> The wine gets its noble rosé color from 6% of added red wine from vineyards in Verzenay and Aÿ. Bread rolls, a hint of mocha and very fine red fruit aromas on the beautifully pure, fresh and perfumed nose lead to a highly delicate and fruity palate with a silky texture and filigreed structure. This is an aromatic, perfectly balanced and intense Rosé of great elegance and finesse. The finish is clear and fresh but also intense and highly stimulating in its subversive salinity. This is a great Rosé, and although it can surely age, I would always miss the delicacy and perfume of its youth! (Tasted from Lot L1804507 in May 2018). 2018 - 2021
