Tasting Notes

With Sangiovese picked from the estate's younger vines, the Giodo 2021 La Quinta is punchy and bright with cherry confit, raspberry syrup and tart aromas of blood orange or nectarine. The wine is easy-drinking in spirit with open fruit and a reassuringly transparent personality. The finish is lean and fresh. This is a production of 13,000 bottles.

(Podere Giodo, La Quinta, Sangiovese, Toscana, Tuscany, Italy, Red) Bright and lively on the palate, such beautifully expressed raspberry and red cherry fruit flavours alongside high-shining acidity that is so clean and precise. Joyful expression with hints of caramelised strawberries and fresh mint. So sharp but so well defined with a clarity to the palate that is gorgeous. Not totally complex but delivers a balanced, easy to enjoy wine with plenty of life. Ageing 12 months in 500l French oak barrels. (Drink between 2022-2032)
