From a very steep, north-easterly facing calcareous hillside within the Gramolere vineyard, this cuvée is only made in the best vintages. It spends 2 years in barrel and is released 3 years after harvest. Packed full of dense black cherry fruit, this is a powerful wine but is quite light on its feet, managing to find the perfect balance between ripeness and freshness. It is utterly delicious now but has the potential for some serious ageing. Drinks beautifully on its own but is a knockout with red meat. Bravo!
