Pale straw colour. Pure and surprisingly youthful on the nose, offering lemon curd with a steely coolness, layered with freshly baked bread and a hint of toasted brioche. The palate follows in its deceptive youthful tones, bringing layers of fresh citrus and yellow stone fruits. Lightly creamy and bolstered by a very fine mousse, this is delicate and highly refined. Lithe, with real focus, this is a finely etched, ethereal style.
Lots of rich fruit to this blanc de blancs, yet it’s very tight, with a framed palate and driven finish. Dried pineapple, apple and honey with a smoky edge to it. Some pie crust, too. Shows complexity with age now. Disgorged in September 2021. Drink now.
