Bright red colour with a polished nose of vanilla bean, fresh coffee and fresh plums. Superb texture, the tannins have the oomph of good Nuits without overbearing the fruit which is ripe but fleshy rather than confected. This is a glossy wine as is to be expected in this vintage, but there is grip and vigour here too. A wine that has both a sense of place and remains true to the vintage.
