Chablis Les Preuses, Domaine William Fèvre 2020

Tasting Notes

Don't miss!
Aromas of quinine, essence of wet stone and seashore add breadth to the nose of pear, apple and anise. Once again there is fine density and intensity to the mouth coating medium weight flavors that flash outstanding length on the bracingly saline suffused finale. This has already develop very good depth and more will also surely develop. This is potentially outstanding. Drink: 2032+

William Fèvre have vines in both sections of Preuses, the slope leading down to the valley of Vaudésir, currently young vines, and on the plateau. More yellow in the colour. This is a muscular wine with a heart of suavity. Much more powerful than the Bougros. Spices all round, five star anis, some bacon in the blend. Fairly massive.

From 1.5ha on soils that are high in clay content above Bougros, together with 1ha just above Bouguerots. Distinct precision here, not a blockbuster but intense and focused. Lovely crystalline fruit and will age beautifully. 2022-2034
