There is a subtle exotic character to the jasmine tea, dried herb, orange peel, anise and eucalyptus-suffused nose. The sleek, precise and borderline painfully intense flavors aren't quite as imposing as the of the Bâtard (see Domaine Boillot) but they are notably finer with seemingly an unending reserve of dry extract that buffers the very firm acid spine on the massively long finish. This is a superb Montrachet to basically buy and forget you own it for at least a decade and it wouldn't surprise me if this beauty needed all of 15 years to reach its full potential. Brilliant.
