Deep purple in appearance, the nose on the Le Sol is rich and brooding. Lots of spicy plum and bramble fruit, with hints of violets and kirsch adding to the complexity. The palate has a silky entry revealing layers of peppery black fruits, sweet vanilla and spice. Ripe, firm tannins and balancing acidity bring a structure that suggests that this wine will need a little while longer than its baby brother. But the layers show that this well balanced, intense offering will unfurl to be a fantastic wine.
